COVID 19 - VIEWING PROCEDURES

Any viewing is to be undertaken in accordance with new procedures operating whilst the country is affected by the Coronavirus pandemic. The procedures are designed to ensure maximum safety for viewers, vendors and representatives of Martin Maslin Estate Agents if they are in attendance at the viewing.

The following points should be adhered to please :-

* Viewings should only be attended by a maximum of two adults from a single household. Please do not bring young children to the viewing particularly as they may touch surfaces which could be harmful to them.

* Viewers should bring suitable hand sanitiser products to the property with them and use them prior to the viewing and immediately afterwards. Neither the Agents nor the property owners will be able to provide sanitiser to the viewers themselves.

* Viewers are asked not to touch any surfaces within a property nor open any doors, cupboards etc themselves. It is our intention to have already opened doors to allow sight of features such as boilers prior to the commencement of the viewing.

*All persons in attendance at the viewing should maintain strict social distancing of a minimum of 2 metres from each other. The owners of the property may choose to vacate the property whilst the viewing takes place to facilitate the distancing requirements.

*Representatives of Martin Maslin Estate Agents may wear additional PPE such as face masks, gloves etc during the viewing procedure. Communication may be a little more difficult than usual but personal safety must be regarded as paramount whilst visiting properties.

*IF ANYONE DUE TO VIEW A PROPERTY DEVELOPS ANY SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19 PRIOR TO THEIR VISIT THEY MUST IMMEDIATELY ADVISE THE AGENTS AND THE APPOINTMENT WILL BE CANCELLED.

The Government have indicated that they would prefer physical viewings to only take place once a prospective purchaser has established a genuine and viable interest having already fully studied all online information about a property which can include viewing its exterior using facilities such as Google Street View. Some vendors may choose to restrict viewings only to potential buyers who are in an immediate position to proceed. Your understanding of these criteria would be greatly appreciated.
